That's why the next page follows with more questions about the property itself, like number of beds and baths. Below, you see the copy "Tell us where to send the report" -- with a disclaimer that, by entering this information, you're agreeing to connect with a real estate agent. This is a great example of a company giving value to their visitors from the get-go, while setting visitors' expectations about what will happen as a result.

There are two options: pro pricing and free signup. Signing up is as simple as possible. You just need to create a username and password. Once you get in and start using their tools, you’ll have to upgrade. The free account limits the number of forms you can use. When you hit that limit, you’re requested to upgrade. Otherwise your account won’t work.


This is solely my opinion, but Leadpages is hardly as intuitive and easy-to-use as advertised. If you're not familiar with HTML or basic web development, it'll take you a while to get a deep understanding of Leadpages and all the capabilities it offers. They do offer a variety of pre-designed templates which might make things a little easier for you if you're not looking to get too specific.
In this scenario, you’re asking people to take little steps, instead of going right from “mailing list sign up” to “spend $1000”. Downloading a free ebook isn’t a big step. Once you’ve done that, sure, why not share? Hey, if the info was valuable in the free book, the info in a $19 book is probably great! Oh, there’s a $197 program? Yes, I would love to join, because I already got more than that much value from your lower-cost items. Spend $1000? Sure!

Cons: There seems to be a lot of issues with their back end server infrastructure and cache updates. Elements and page orders, etc. do not always update as you expect them to, as well as their server systems have proven to be only about 90% reliable. Not a problem at low traffic volumes, but a huge issue for anyone driving thousands of users per hour to their sites. Support is also not that knowledgable or helpful, though they try their best.
Overall: While Leadpages is not as flexibility in its depth as I would personally like, many of my small business clients love it because it has a fairly simple learning curve (especially if they have a webmaster or developer to handle the site/domain integrations). It does integrate with major email marketing platforms and it's pretty much a no-brainer if you need a quick opt-in or webinar registration page.

A well-designed landing page can greatly increase conversions for your PPC or email marketing campaigns. Rather than directing visitors from those sources to your general website (where they may have a hard time finding what they’re looking for), you can direct them to a specially-designed landing page that steers them in exactly the direction you want them to take.

Right now, you’re pouring tons of time and money into campaigns to get the right people to your website. Your team spends days setting up a maze of landing pages, forms, and follow-up emails. It’s an endless series of hoops people have to jump through just so they can prove they’re qualified enough to schedule a demo, or register for a webinar, or to talk to someone later.
As noted, the pizza shop funnel example above is really simple; there aren’t many steps. Sometimes this is okay (for example, in our pizza funnel, adding more steps may or may not hinder down the sales process). But if you still use separate tools to email and call your leads, then visibility into their different touchpoints at different stages in the funnel can be difficult to figure out. Use a CRM software with built-in email and phone instead. You can create email templates in your CRM to quickly reach out to leads. Even better, you can automate sending out the first welcome email to new leads using workflows. Modern CRMs also track your emails and notify you when the lead opens your email. This is a nifty feature to know when to take action and move your lead to the next stage. You know, strike while the iron is hot? So now you’ll know if your email is getting read or not. You can also use email metrics to test your email performance, and craft better ones to increase open rates.

Imagine an autoresponder that doesn't just send emails, but allows you to track which channels your visitors are coming from, segment them based on actions they take and who they are (what they do in your funnels, how socially connected they are, what they purchase and more!), create custom follow up sequences (email, text messages and more!) for each visitor and FINALLY see the TRUE Lifetime Value of each of your customers!

However, many businesses prefer not to add dozens or hundreds of additional marketing pages to their website—especially if they don’t plan on running a particular marketing campaign forever. In addition, creating a landing page on most websites can be a real headache, so unless you have solid design and coding skills, building your landing pages on your own website might be overwhelming.

This is a company with a strong commitment to staying on the cutting edge. That inevitably means that some of the new features and services they roll out have a few minor bugs and glitches, which are typically inconveniences instead of disastrous flaws. But the folks at Leadpages are always quick to admit to the problems when they occur, and there's typically a resolution implemented in a reasonable amount of time. The only thing I really dislike is discovering some of these snags - that usually happens when I'm in a hurry to get something done, and that part of the experience doesn't leave me in a very good mood....
Thanks Matt, yes that’s right. Regarding leads it’s both really! I certainly want to generate more of the right niche/ quality prospects. In short there are 2 distinctly areas; general enquiries which I have a good process for ( but could be improved) the biggest challenge is taking colder leads through the funnel. The sales process can sometimes be quite long, so whilst a well placed offer can work to get someone over line. It’s not very strong for those who are researching etc, hence I need advice about funnel building for regular front of mind contact plus education and industry authority. Does that make sense? Unfortunately, most people instinctively distrust marketing material. Generally speaking, most marketers tell the story that puts their offer in the best possible light. After all, marketers make money off of telling people their product is great. Maybe your offer is as good as you say it is, but it’s hard to believe someone who gets paid to talk about how awesome their offer is.
Now I know you might think, this is the whole reason the software was created so you can see who’s moving through the funnel. But LeadPages could have definitely implemented a simple system where they could link up funnels in the same way (and probably will in the near future). It makes it super straight forward to see which funnel is working and which parts of your funnel need tweaking.

Studies from ConversionXL suggest that removing navigation links from the middle of the funnel landing pages seeing 16% and 28% lift in conversions, while top of the funnel landing pages are seeing an insignificant 0-4% increase in conversion rates.
Cons: My dislikes are more nit picky than complaints; setup of URLs can involve 2 separate screens, which makes it a little confusing at first. It is template driven and some of these are very Internet Marketing centric, so the look and style may not be a fit, but of course you can adapt and make these your own. A broader selection of templates will help, but they do have a community of developers adding to it daily, so this is likely a short term problem.
Now most importantly, this introduces a marketplace of landing pages for LeadPages customers where consumers will be able to purchase pages off other members (100% commissions are given to members). This is going to the largest pool of landing pages with a simple editor interface. This will also lead to 3rd party websites like LeadPages Ninjas and PSDtoLP to start designing + programming pages into LeadPages for customers who want to start making some revenue in the marketplace.
Cons: I've tried out the product after being slammed with 3-4 emails per day. Funny thing is I did a 14-day trial and was already planning on sticking around, not sure why I needed to get so many emails every day that was a bit annoying. After I upgraded I realized that all the best funnels were additional fees, and also the email automation was additional fees as well. The cost insist cheap for this software. I see some value if you really are focused on your business, this is not for a passive user as the fees add up quickly.

Novices would like to believe that once a successful funnel is in place and generating satisfactory revenue results, you can simply duplicate that funnel for each new product launch. The error in this thought process is that not all buyers purchase in the same fashion. When you are ready to roll out a new product, you must start back at step one and begin the reconnaissance phase again by studying that particular market, those specific buyers and the players already in the game.
I like this solution for companies who don't have a marketing automation system in place, and just need to set up lead capture quickly. You'll have to integrate the leads you get with your CRM or email management system, but if you just want to optimize a landing page and offer a video or content and get an email address, then this is probably one of the better ways of doing it. I foresee this as a good way for people to try inbound lead generation at a low pricepoint. If you do it well, you should plan to grow out of leadpages and into something like HubSpot.
Mini sites generally have multiple pages with short content that funnel visitors from one step to the next along the conversion process. This has the advantage of getting users in the habit of moving from one page to the next, which can help get them in the right psychological frame of mind to convert. The downside to mini sites is that they work best for conversion funnels that need a lot of content.

Have a flawless design. Information architecture comes into play here, as it’s important for a landing page to have a clear, crisp design that leaves all questions answered without inspiring any new ones. Navigation should be obvious and simple, all required information should be provided, and nothing should come between the visitor and the conversion (aka no pop ups!) If at all possible, visitors should be able to convert in one click. Let every additional click weigh on your conscience like a heart beating beneath a floorboard.

The health and fitness industry is competitive and LeadPages has given me a huge advantage in this area. I've collected more leads in the last few months than I have in my 5 years of training with my own marketing or marketing suggested by my industry.

Have clickable share buttons. Many people are more than happy to post about a recent purchase or share a resource they have found helpful. Adding share buttons increases your chances of getting your content shared across the social space, and great landing pages make generous use of these buttons. It’s also smart to add social buttons to the thank you page, since users will be more likely to share your great offer with others after they’ve signed up themselves. As an added bonus, showing your “likes” and follows can also serve as a word-of-mouth endorsement.

Pros: Let's face it, funnels are the way to go to assist a customer in a purchase decision. Click Funnels is a easy to use and well put together platform. Their training sequence is fun and effective. They do an excellent job at making you feel a part of a club. I was on the trial offer and did not opt for a paid plan and I will elaborate below. Does this funnel system work- yes. Can a beginner do well with the CF software- maybe. Do they deliver the product they sell and provide appropriate support, absolutely. Is it worth per month? That is for you to decide but for me it was a no. Here is why-


After you’ve met or spoken to the lead, and if they’re committed to buy, you’ll have to quantify the value of the opportunity. This is where the sales pipeline in CRM helps; you can track each opportunity with maximum visibility. Visual sales pipeline provides an overview of your deals by stage, allowing you to see how leads are moving down the sales funnel. It also gives sales reps a quick estimate of their targets, and urges them to close more leads in the funnel.

This page also happens to be their home page, so there are options for “Download,” “Sign Up” and “Log In” in the header (and that’s ignoring all of the clickable elements in the footer!). All of these options make it hard to know exactly what you are supposed to do on this page. In fact, if you scroll below the fold, you may not even be sure what you’re signing up for.
